A quiet man, prolific in his work, devoted to his human and animal family, Nym embodied strong ethics; he declined to sell his soul.
He expressed his inner journeys of intertwining emotions and experiences of the world around him and afar through different mediums, styles and approaches.
A great sense of humor and growing appreciation for the simple life on the farm, was our shared joy of these past years.
After his untimely passing I spent many weeks in stillness,  emerged in the work, left behind. Hundreds of drawings, notes, paintings...some of it I had never seen in our more than 26 years of marriage.
The tapestry of his inner life is almost too much to bare - but we feel a call to share.
From demonic to peaceful to visionary, each a heartbeat of his human experience.
At the end of his life, humbleness had taken the place of wanting to be recognized as an "artist". He was content in creating; reflecting and sharing with those who felt drawn into one or the other imagery
"Nym around town" is our Birthday gift to him and likewise creative souls - tortured or gentle - one heartbeat at a time.
In the last months of his life, Nym almost exclusively reread all of Jose Ortega Y Gasset's books.
